The semiannual Prescription Drug Roundup, encouraging the proper disposal of unused prescription medications, will be April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Douglas County.
Proper medication disposal protects teens, children, pets and the environment. Unused or expired prescription drugs, over-the-counter pills, prescription liquids an pet medications can be brought to any of the designated drop-off locations. Leave medications in the original container and mark out the patient name and information.

Unable to drop by on April 28? Dispose of unused drugs by crushing them in a seal-tight plastic bag, add kitty litter or coffee grounds, seal the bag and dispose in the trash.
