Proper Hydration Starts With An Easy Rule Of Thumb

If you’re like most people, you simply aren’t drinking enough water during the course of a given day.

Nurse Practioner Catherine Fuller, of Minden Family Medicine, says a simple rule of thumb to keep in mind is that one should be consuming half their body weight in ounces of water every day.

For example, someone weighing 200 pounds, should be consuming 100 ounces of water every day.

The benefits of proper hydration are nearly limitless, aiding in weight loss, skin care, boosting energy and immunity, headache prevention, improved brain functionality and plenty more.

Water is an essential component of our body and plays a vital role in maintaining nearly all major organ systems of the body.

The health benefits have been accepted by medical experts across the globe. It is the most abundant compound present on this earth. All living forms, in one or the other form, require water for their metabolic activities.
