A big ‘thank you’ goes out to Lois Wray and her staff at the Pink House in Genoa for orchestrating a number of events in support of Carson Valley Medical Center’s Pink Fund during the month of October.
This year, the Watercolor & Wine event held Oct. 12 at Genoa Town Hall in conjunction with the Debbie Corona of the Carson Valley Arts Center saw its largest-ever crowd. The Tickled Pink dinner at the Pink House was sold out the evening of Oct. 27 with no cancellations.
A portion of the proceeds from each event was donated to CVMC’s Pink Fund, supporting local patients facing the challenges of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Lois Wray also designed and made a quilt to be raffled off with the proceeds going directly to the Pink Fund. Greg Ponsness won the raffle drawing, which was conducted on Oct. 30.
