GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Carson Valley Medical Center recently renewed its support for public transportation in Douglas County for 2019.
For the ninth consecutive year, CVMC has sponsored Douglas Area Rural Transit buses, which make stops around Carson Valley and greater Douglas County.
The program provides transportation to Douglas County residents through two distinct options: DART Dial-A-Ride provides curb-to-curb service for eligible seniors over the age of 60 and disabled riders.
It can be scheduled for shopping, medical appointments, recreation, trips to the Douglas County Community & Senior Center and more. The DART Express route is available to the general public, making stops around Minden, Gardnerville and the Gardnerville Ranchos. Transfer points offering access to Carson City and South Lake Tahoe are available within the route. Each DART bus is equipped with wheelchair lifts and bike racks for the convenience of its passengers.
