Pinwheels Recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month

pinwheels

CASA for Douglas County has pinwheels out on the lawn at the Douglas County Law Enforcement building in Minden in recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. In 2008, the Prevent Child Abuse America organization introduced the blue and silver pinwheel as the national symbol of child abuse prevention. By their nature, pinwheels connote whimsy and childlike notions – a reminder of the great childhoods we want for all children.
