Carson Valley Medical Center recently released its “Annual Report To Our Community,” reviewing significant developments within the past year, highlighting our partnerships within the community and outlining our community outreach efforts.
This year’s report introduces our new rheumatologist — Leah Krull, MD — as well as our new 3D mammography suite and the expanded and remodeled Minden Family Medicine primary care practice.
In 2018, Carson Valley Medical Center provided $7.5 million in community benefit, including $58,150 in community support and $540,958 in community health & wellness programs (health fairs, free and low-cost screenings, support groups, wellness services and health education).
During 2018, CVMC had 208,305 outpatient visits — representing a four percent growth over the prior year — 11,776 emergency room visits, 1,253 surgery cases and 1,203 patients admitted to the hospital.
